Meet The Ladies That Art
The Ladies that Art are a creative collective brought together by a shared love of making, meeting regularly to paint, pour, and create together. Rooted in connection and enjoyment our practice celebrates creativity as a shared experience, where ideas flow freely and experimentation is encouraged. Working across different techniques and materials, our work reflects both individuality and the energy of creating as a group.

Sylvia
Hi I'm Sylvia and I'm fascinated by painting, and love combining colours and shapes to create unique paintings. I bring my attention to detail to every work to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also an expression of personality. My artistic goal is to convey beauty and harmony in my work and inspire people through them.

Cath
Hello, I'm Cathy, as one of The Ladies I practice the liberating art of pouring acrylic paint onto canvas. To me the unpredictable splatters are not mistakes, they are a visual expression of freedom. My art iincludes textured abstracts that capture the energy of creating in a safe, welcoming, and laughter flled space. My aim is to spark iimmediate feelings in the viewer, rather than telling them what to see. Being part of this collective fuels my painting and validates my style in a world that often demands orderliness.

Suzanne
My name is Suzanne and I feel very lucky to be one of The Ladies. I am an experimental artist with no formal training, who likes to re-write the rules for creating art. My work iincludes acrylics, fluid art which can often be etherial. I also practice watercolour overlayed with precise pen work. Iinspiration is varied but iincludes Aubrey Beardsley, Frida Khalo, Gustav Klimt, and JMW Turner. For me, art is a continuous experiment with good friends, occasionally finding the results pleasing, haunting, bold, and... unplanned. My goal is not to achieve perfection, but to capture the moment and unexpected emotion
